Barracuda Blast: league declarations (due TOMORROW), glow night

Hi Barracuda Families,

Congratulations on a great meet yesterday! A special congrats to all our mini's who swam and competed in their first race. Great job! Yesterday's meet results will be posted to the website when received. You are always able to check SwimTopia for your swimmer's individual results.

Please review league information carefully-there is always confusion around Gold/Sliver meets. And, please see the schedule for this week as there are a couple of changes.

League Championship: Declarations Due Tomorrow

All swimmer declarations for the League Championship meets are due Monday by 12:00 noon.

League Meet Schedule:

Friday, 7/17: Silver Championships and Gold long-distance events (200’s & 400’s) at Bear Creek Pool, START TIME 7:45 am

Saturday, 7/18: Gold Championships at Governor's Ranch Pool, START TIME, 7:00 am

Please be sure to review the qualification requirements before declaring your swimmer:

  • Silver Championships: Swimmers may have no more than one Gold qualifying time and may only swim events in which they do not have a Gold qualifying time.
  • Gold Championships: Swimmers may only compete in events in which they have achieved the Gold qualifying time.
  • All swimmers must have participated in at least two regular-season meets and have an official time in each event they wish to swim.

If you have any questions about eligibility or declarations, don't hesitate to reach out—we're happy to help!

Coaching Update

We wanted to share a coaching update with everyone. Effective immediately, Coach Paige is no longer coaching with the Barracudas.

We know many of our swimmers have enjoyed getting to know Coach Paige this season, and we appreciate the time and energy she dedicated to our team. We wish her all the best in her future endeavors.

If your swimmer has questions, we encourage you to remind them that Coach Maddie, Coach Evan and Coach Anna remain focused on providing a fun, positive, and encouraging environment for every Barracuda. We appreciate your understanding and continued support as we finish the season strong.

As always, parents may reach out to [email protected] with any questions.

Glow Night is Wednesday!

Don't forget—Glow Night is this Wednesday from 6:00–8:30 PM! This event is exclusively for Barracuda swimmers and their families. Come enjoy an evening of swimming, glow-themed fun, and celebrating another fantastic season together. Bring a picnic dinner for your family, and we'll provide the cupcakes!

Barracudathon Update 🎉

We're excited to share that we raised over $4500 during our Barracudathon! Thank you to every swimmer, family, and supporter who participated and helped make this fundraiser such a success. Your generosity directly supports our team and helps create an amazing experience for all of our Barracudas.

A special shoutout to Coach Maddie for being such a great sport and celebrating our progress by showing up to practice in a hot dog costume at the meet yesterday! 🌭 You made everyone's day, and we appreciate all you do for our swimmers.
