Barracuda Blast: Car Wash, Parent Relays and Meet Results
Hello Barracuda Families,
It's hard to believe, but next weekend is our final home meet of the season! We are excited to finish our home season with a fun-filled morning of racing, team spirit, and a few favorite traditions.
Barracuda Car Wash Fundraiser – Friday, June 19
Let's make a splash in the community and bring the car washing energy! Join us for our 3rd Annual Barracuda Car Wash Fundraiser this Friday, June 19, from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM at the Dairy Queen, 7576 S. Pierce Street, Littleton, CO 80128. *flyer attached for reference*
-Swimmers should wear a swimsuit or team shirt
-Please note, this is not a drop-off event for kids under 12. Our younger swimmers should plan on having a parent to stay and help supervise
-Cash or Venmo will be accepted
This is a great opportunity for swimmers to come together, have fun, show their Barracuda spirit, and help raise funds for our team. Bring your friends, family, neighbors, and anyone with a dirty car! Every car washed helps support our swimmers and program. We are looking forward to seeing everyone there!
Parent & Coach Relays
As part of our final home meet festivities, we'll be holding our annual Parent Relay and Coach Relay during the break following backstroke.
There is absolutely no pressure—this is all about having fun and creating great memories! We encourage anyone and everyone to join in on the shenanigans.
If you'd like to participate in the Parent Relay, please email [email protected] to declare by Wednesday evening.
Timing Tent Reminder
Please help us keep the timing tent clear throughout the meet. We ask that swimmers and parents do not enter the timing area or approach the starter or backup timer to ask for race times.
These interruptions are distracting to the starter and timers. Results are typically posted within a few minutes of each event (WiFi permitting), so please be patient while times are processed and uploaded.
Thank you for helping our volunteers and officials keep the meet running smoothly!
Coffee Truck Returns
The coffee truck will be back again for our final home meet! Be sure to stop by and grab your favorite drink while cheering on the Barracudas.
-10% of all proceeds will be donated back to the swim team, so every purchase helps support our program
Board Volunteer Opportunities
As we look ahead to the remainder of this season and begin planning for next year, we are still seeking volunteers to fill the role of computer lead and webmaster. Thank you to the families who have offered to fill communications and league rep.
-Webmaster
-Computer Lead (for next season)
If you are interested in learning more about any of these opportunities, please email [email protected] or reach out directly to Amy Heslip. Current board members will provide training and support to help make the transition smooth.
