Dear Barracuda Families,

Here are a few important updates as we gear up for the upcoming swim season:

Team Store Deadline
The Barracuda team store will close on April 20 at midnight. All orders for swimsuits and additional gear must be submitted by this deadline. We highly recommend personalizing swim caps to help with easy swimmer identification during practices and meets.

Spring Swim Sessions
Spring Swim sessions are no longer grouped by age. Swimmers are welcome to attend whichever session works best for your family’s schedule. Sessions are held at Lilley Gulch Recreation Center from 4:30-5:15 pm or 5:15-6:00 pm.

Volunteer Checks

All families are required to submit a separate volunteer check when paying team fees to the Village Center. Please make the volunteer check payable to Grant Ranch Swim Team. We must have receipts for both prior to the first meet for your swimmer to be eligible to participate.

Parent Meeting – Save the Date
Please mark your calendars for our parent meeting on May 14, which will be held via Zoom. More details will be shared soon.

Coaching Updates
A coaches update was sent earlier this week. If you haven’t had a chance to review it, please visit the coaches page on our website to learn more about our new assistant coaches. We are still looking to fill one additional assistant coach position for the summer.

Stroke & Turn Judges Needed
Stroke and Turn judges are essential to our meets! Any interested parents must complete training (which does count as a volunteer shift) which will be taught by Peggy Merrill, the official judge of South Jeffco Swim League on May 3. To help improve judging consistency across the league this summer, Coach Maddie is inviting parents to walk the deck with her during spring swims or outdoor practices. This is a great opportunity to observe swimmers and fine-tune judging skills.
