Gator Open and KCI Results and Recap

Awesome job to all our swimmers this past week at both the Gator Open and Ken Caryl Invitational. It is exciting to watch the progress as our team continues to hit PRs every week. The results for both meets are attached. Ribbons and KCI medals are available in the ribbon box.

Practice Schedule Changes for next week

Due to the 4th of July on Tuesday, our practice schedule next week will look a little different. We will only have 4 practices next week before our meet on Saturday so, please, please, have your swimmer attend all practices that they are able.

Monday, 7/3: AM practice only!

Tuesday 7/4: NO PRACTICE

Wednesday 7/5: PM practice only!

Thursday/Friday: normal AM practice schedule

Upcoming Ken Caryl Meet on July 8

• National Anthem Singer: Huge shout out to both Josh Morris and Lily Haagenson for volunteering to sing our national anthem at our previous home meets! We are still looking for 1 more volunteer for our meet against Ken Caryl. Please reach out to the parent committee if you have a swimmer or community member who would like the experience of singing in front of a crowd. 

• Parent/coaches relay: This relay will take place after the Mini Barracuda swim during the break. We are looking for 16 parent volunteers to swim in this race. Please email the parent committee for more information: [email protected]

Semi-Private lessons are approved!

The coaches have finally received approval to provide 30-minute semi-private lessons (3 swimmers max) before evening practices. We anticipate these will occur between 5:00-6:30 pm and the start date for these lessons will be next Wednesday, 7/5. More information will be sent out later this week, including how to register and pay for these extra lessons.

End-of-Season Team Banquet:

The end-of-season banquet is fast approaching. Please mark your calendars for July 25 from 5:00-7:30 pm. This is the coaches opportunity to recognize your swimmers and the parents' opportunity to thank the coaches. Be on the lookout for more information about this event. We will be looking for dessert donations.

Team t-shirts

This is the final week to pick up your registration shirt from Leslie King during practices. After Friday, you will no longer be able to pick up your t-shirts so please do so this week.
