Sunday Barracuda Update

Good Sunday Afternoon, Barracuda Families, 

We are so happy that the sun was shining for our mock meet yesterday. We feel like we answered a lot of questions as well as raised a few flags regarding a few things we forgot. So, here goes:

**NEW PRACTICE SCHEDULE FOR THE SUMMER:

Monday through Friday (NO practice tomorrow, Memorial Day): 

7 a.m. to 8 a.m.: All swimmers 13 and older and 11-12 age group

8 a.m. to 9 a.m.: 9-10s and 8 and unders

MEET PREPARATION INFO:

  • Please arrive for warmups at 6 a.m. (Early birds get better seating, too!)
  • Bring the following items: 
    • Towels (one for each event your kiddo is swimming so they have a dry towel after each swim) 
    • Water and snacks 
    • WARM CLOTHES: sweats, jackets, hats, blankets, sleeping bags 
    • Cash for the concession stand (coffee, ring pops, donuts, Cup 'O Noodles, breakfast burritos and more)
  • Once Coach Addie has finalized the meet entries, she will post the "Heat Sheets" and "Events List" for all swimmers. It will be posted as attachments under the Events/Meets entry for that week’s meet and emailed out the night before. We apologize that those documents were not available prior to the Mock Meet
    • Please write your swimmer's event numbers on their arm with a Sharpie to remind them when to watch for heating. 
  • REMEMBER TO DECLARE YOUR SWIMMER'S 3 EVENTS & Relay preference by Wednesday evening prior to the meet. 
    • If you haven’t signed up for all your volunteer shifts, please do so under Meets/Events tab
  • Reminder: Team picture night/Tie Dye on June 7, 6-8pm (please attend for group pic even if you choose not to purchase any photos) If you are unable to attend, let us know so we can get your child’s shirt done for them. Bring your photo form and payment that evening. Wear your Barracudas team suit or whatever suit you have.
  • There is a Swimtopia app available in your app store; if you'd like to download it on your phone you can log in and view meet information there. Check it out!
