Happy Sunday evening Swim Families, 

Next Saturday, May 15th at 6 p.m. the volunteer signup for the 2021 season will open. We are asking each family to sign up for at least 5 volunteer shifts this season. There are seasonal shifts that will fulfill your entire season’s requirement or individual shifts during each swim meet. The descriptions of the volunteer positions can be found in the Team Handbook.

A few of the positions require some training which you will receive credit for, as well. We are specifically in need of Stroke and Turn Officials. If you have a swimming background, you will make an ideal candidate and we would greatly appreciate you volunteering for this pool-side position. There will be a training class on Monday, May 17th @ 6:30 p.m. via Zoom, and then the opportunity for some on-deck training the following week. If you plan to attend the training session, please email [email protected] and we will send you the training link. Our first meet is June 5th and we will make sure you are prepared! 

Next Sunday, May 16^th, is the first team swim practice at our Grant Ranch pool. Our fingers are crossed that the pool will be ready, however, on the off-chance that it is not, the coaches have prepared fun dryland training exercises for the kids to get to know each other and have some fun.

For next week and Sunday, May 23rd, we will be breaking the swimmers up into two separate groups. The first group will practice from 3:00 - 3:45 p.m. and the second group from 3:45 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. We are still working on the final groupings for regular morning practices and will finalize those soon and post to the website and the calendar.
