Details from last night's Town Hall meeting

Barracuda Families,

My apologies for the technical difficulties in the zoom meeting last night. Here are the important details:

Registration will open by March 15th. Please watch your email for information.

  • You will first register via Swimtopia: https://grantranch.swimtopia.com/ Please register as soon as possible so we can start working on practice schedules and logistics.
  • After you register via Swimtopia, you will need to register at the Village Center. We will let you know when you can register at the Village Center (probably after April 1, 2021).
  • Fees for 2021: First swimmer $220, second swimmer $210, third and beyond $200/swimmer
  • A volunteer deposit check of $250 will also be required at time of registration; once your volunteer duties are met, the check will be returned to you or destroyed.

Barracudas Gear: We will publish the link for suits and Barracuda items on the website. These orders will be taken and paid for directly through Out of Breath Sports. There will be an in-person swimsuit sizing (with UV sanitation) on Tuesday, April 6th from 5-6 p.m. at the Village Center. Practice schedules will be similar to prior seasons and will start on Tuesday, June 1st.

Spring Swims – Sunday April 25th and Sunday May 2nd from 5-6 p.m. at Lilly Gulch. We will send a sign-up link for these swims; there will be a small fee for each practice.

Swim Camp at Grant Ranch – week of May 16th after school, and Sundays: May, 16th and May 23rd.

Tentative summer swim meet schedule:

  • May 29 – Mock Swim Meet to get the kids ready for the season
  • June 5 – Dual Meet
  • June 12 – Dual Meet
  • June 19 – Dual Meet
  • June 25/26 – Ken Caryl Invitational
  • July 3rd – Bye Week
  • July 10th – Dual Meet
  • July 17th – Dual Meet
  • July 24th – League Meet
  • July 30/31st – State Meet

Mini Barracudas – We are still working through the logistics to see if we can offer this program safely and within the health department guidelines.

Volunteer Sessions - We will need each family to volunteer for 6-8 shifts throughout the season. We will be adjusting assignments to adhere to all regulations. More to come.

High School Boys – We are working through a way to ensure the boys can swim.
